if you think i'm crazy - don't tell me!!

you may have read the title of this post and thought, "oh no, what is she going to tell us now..."
she's probably one of those moms. i'll bet she's going to tell us Levi has already said his first word and doesn't want to hear that it's actually a grunt"

but you're wrong.
while I DO believe that Levi is the smartest, most beautifullest baby ever, and i think may be on the track to cure cancer by the time he's 12.... this craziness has more to do with his parents.

we have known about this for a while, (and i am PUMPED) but i have been hesitant to blog about it because of what people might think.

ok. here goes.

as of next week saturday we are driving over the border and FLYING TO FLORIDA.
with an-almost-4-week-old

we. are. legitimately. crazy
but we are soooo excited.

here are some details:
- we are going with my WHOLE family. all 11 of us. boyfriends, husbands, girlfriends, family, babies
- the trip was booked before we even knew Levi would be a possibility
- we are staying in a condo in Florida
- my grandparents are in Florida and are so excited to meet Levi
- Dave, Levi & I have our own separate apartment
- grandma has already stocked up on all the diapers, wipes and apparently clothing (Levi has the best great grandma ever) that I will need in Florida
- Levi already has a birth certificate (and yes - that's all that is required to drive across the border if you are under 16)

maybe we are crazy.
i think we are just brave.
and yes, i am a little nervous, a lot excited, and ready for an amazing 7 days with the family.

so say a little prayer for us....
and be a little envious that we will be in sun & sand soon!!

  1. Sounds great Kirsten!! Babies are much easier to travel with than toddlers so take advantage of the babe that sleeps anywhere and everywhere and that you can feed by simply popping your boob out!! It doesn't get easier than that -- AND everyone else will be staying up late so you will have company for those late night (middle of the night!) feedings :) Congrats on Levi's birth ... truly a miracle!!

  2. that is a perfect age to travel. when we went overseas it was easiest when they are so transportable and you will have lots of hands that are more then willing to help. have a great time. when is the baptisim? we would like to try and come.
