here's the thing - this is the 8th time we've spent his birthday as a couple (dating/engaged/married). Yes, we've been together far too long to only have been married 2 years.
but i love him. so here's a post dedicated to the hubs
at 15 (well.... almost 15) i fell into a headlong crush with those boyish good looks, magnifique physique (as did my Aunt Diana) and oooohhh those blue eyes.
at 16 i fell in love with the man that knew exactly what he wanted to do and with the starry eyes of a young woman i hoped i might just get to tag along for the ride
at 17 as i realized we might just beat the odds i fell in love with him again as he repeated time and time again, for me to do what i wanted in university, he'd be waiting at the end
at 18 (and 21 respectively) i figured out that this man was crazy enough to still be in love with me - even though i had changed a lot from 14 to 18
at 19 i was stunned (and speechless for the first time in my life) as he got down on one knee and told me he was insane enough to want to spend the rest of his life getting bossed around (kidding - it was indeed a much more romantic proposal)
at 20, even though his stubborness got in the way, we were figuring out what it meant to make a life together
at 21 i fell in love with him even more as i watched him realize he was going to be a father and settle in for doctor's appointments, ultrasounds and pleading ignorance to the fact i was getting fatter and fatter and fatter
and at 22 i am still head over heels for Levi's daddy. there is nothing more wonderful than a father and his son. the immense joy they bring to eachother is contagious and i love my 2 boys more than anything else in the world.
happy 26th.
you're in for the long haul.
you are my best friend, my constant challenger (and not just to my patience), my biggest fan. and if we have a bucket-load of baby boys and they all turn out exactly like you (with a splash of all my wonderful qualities of course) i will be one happy mama.
i love you mr. passchier.
