wedding report

sorry... did the title of this post throw you off. i am still married. no new wedding to plan.


however, i did put my wedding info. into this year's installment of the citizen's (our local newspaper) Parade of Bride's Wedding Report. we had to include names, pictures, locations, etc. etc. and it made me think of my wedding day.

it was fun. a ton of fun.

and i even really enjoyed the planning.
i kind of miss it even.

the christmas break last year was filled to the brim with wedding plans and to-do-lists
the reading break included a trip to toronto for centrepieces and other plans
every weekend included looonnngggg conversations about minute details (much to the dismay of my brother's)
and every other second was filled with worry about whether or not the church would be filled with my nervous gases (just kidding......)

and now.

i soak up my engaged friends wedding plans like a plant gasping for air (yes... that was a little dramatic)
i long to look at pictures of wedding dresses and decorating ideas but i fear that it might make me seem a little crazy

other people didn't like wedding planning. some didn't like the decisions, the questions, the creativity, the attention, etc. etc.

me.....? i thrived


therefore - i have found a new hobby
a new planning conundrum
one that is close to my heart.


house renovations..... well - not renovations - just minor changes to aesthetic things.
such as painting
such as trying to pinpoint exactly what i want to buy for beside my tv with my gift cards

such as ... recovering a bench and making curtains and pillows.

but i can't decide.
so i will be posting some fabric swatches next week.
