those guys

oh how i missed them. (i missed blogging too.... i am fully aware how pathetic i have been in my lack of dedication to writing this past week(s)... but seriously - all i had to offer was a near drowning experience.........)

anyway, to begin again.
oh how i missed them. i really did.
how they make me giggle
and feel loved
and challenge me
and make me giggle

i think caro summed it up best. "i wish we lived closer. that we saw each other more. that we could be those friends that know everything about each other all the time"

me too. me too. me too.

i love her dearly. but she is terrible at responding to messages and we are always "too busy" to phone.

so us girls, we survive on catch-ups.
a day once every couple of months where we cram every-new-possible-bit-of-exciting-news into a couple of hours.

we hear about black bears. jobs. RN exams. wedding dresses.

it's exhilirating.
and then i get home.
and i miss them.

i want to see them this weekend.... again. i want to talk to them tomorrow.
i literally sent them all a message this morning.

what a blessing.

friends. who are like family
friends who want to name their first daughter Madison, with a nick name Molly, like your sister
friends who put on their wedding dress just because we have to see it
friends who open their doors and feed us and bravely kill the cockroaches
friends who can laugh at themselves

maybe this is getting a little gushy for you all.
but those girls I lived with in University have a special little place in my heart.

dave and i constantly feel blessed to have our friends.

to have couple friends.
to have friends in different cities
and girlfriends that sometimes you just HAVE to see!! (yes, i literally am that dramatic when talking to Dave about my excitement in going).

my mom had friends like that.
i would watch them as a kid (i won't mention any names) but they were crazy. and silly. and crazy. and they laughed ALL THE TIME.
i wanted friends like that.

and we have them.

we have them here.... 5 minutes away. Crazy friends that have squirrel mittens, that hyper-text, and have silly husbands who move couches for fun.

and then we have them in Hamilton... sadly a lot more then 5 minutes away.

and we love them.
and we thank God for them.

and we laugh at them.
and then i laugh at myself.

because that crazy. silly. crazy group of friends that i admired as a kid - has become us!
