this is me.
or so it has been for the 31 and a half weeks so far of this pregnancy. happy, healthy and an easy pregnancy (and yes - my baby looks THAT cute inside me too....)
and at this point i can't lodge a lot of complaints. according to my doctor i am on "cruise control" and i am still feeling great
but there are a few things that are getting difficult. and yes, i know i am only going to get bigger!
here is my list so far...
here is the real list. and yes some are full out embarassing
1. getting up from a sitting position on the floor. this has become like a full-on yoga class with the amount of effort this takes people
2. climbing the stairs winds me. i also frequently have to use the banister as a method to haul myself up
3. getting up the ladder in the barn (it is a short ladder out of the milking pit... if that means anything to you.) essentially, i have to use balance to get up the first 2 steps before i can reach a bar to grab on to. this has become pathetically challenging
4. shovelling. (this is poop - not snow) another barn chore that a belly complicates. i keep hitting my belly with the handle. this requires a slight bend at the waist to avoid. believe me it's a sexy woman that bends with her butt out shovelling in the barn!
5. plugging in christmas lights. i have to bend around the couch to plug them in. i may or may not have fell yesterday
6. getting around the christmas tree. i was smart enough to put the box that controls the lights (twinkling, fade, etc) to the tree on the back of the tree so no one would see them. one small problem. i knock off christmas decorations getting to the back.
if you come to my house and half my tree is twinkling that is why. i only have 1 strand that you can change settings for and when you plug it in it ALWAYS goes to twinkle. if you are special - i make the effort to get around the tree
7. unloading the silverware tray.
yesterday i set the silverware tray from the dishwasher on the counter and then opened the kitchen drawer. unfortunately i can't reach the counter and have the drawer open at the same time. i may or may not have closed the drawer 4 times with my belly before realizing that i should just stand at the side
i could probably think of more than 7, but that's sufficient embarassment for a wednesday.
oh, and there's also this lovely phenonmenon. i have fully admited to my younger sister that i am jealous of her physique
