this is a 4 day week. can i get a resounding "YES"!!
anyway, aside from that it is also Easter weekend. and with it comes Easter traditions.
I know the real meaning of Easter, and I should blog about that. And i still might. but at this point - i have to tell you about this GREAT family tradition.
there is a family that does the following
after dinner, they get a LARGE easter egg - like huge - like 2 people's heads put together size. and then someone smashes it with a wine bottle, and everyone gets to share the pieces of chocolate.
wonderful? I think so.
my coworker is thinking of stealing the tradition and using a wooden shoe to smash it - just to make a little more dutch!
My family's Easter tradition ...
grandma brings presents from Florida and we have an easter egg hunt. now that i am older - i get to hide them - honestly.... still a HUGE thrill.
i am a sucker for all things holiday & tradition
on another note:
apparently in order to be politically correct "they" (not sure who they is) are encouraging people to re-term easter eggs - Spring Spheres. 1 problem (aside from teh HUGE one of taking Easter out of the equation) in order to call them spring spheres, spring needs to come!
and finally, one another more serious note:
this Sunday also marks my brother's and my cousin's profession of faith (my bro's in the pink tie). Wonderful. Such a blessing - and a big day to be sure.
Monday i will blog about that one! Re-cap will be fully necessary!
