today for work i took 'Strengths Finder 2.0". We are using it to determine our top 5 strengths - and then will see how we can use the strenghts of our office to work at a better standard and level of encouragement for each other. (it's one of those team building days)
i had to answer 100+ questions and only had 20 seconds for each one.
it was exciting. i love these things.
so because according to my strengths i like to tell stories, and entertain, and am rarely private about my life (hmm... maybe that's why i like blogging) i am going to give you my top 5 strengths.
1. Communication
2. Input
3. Intellection
4. Learner
5. Activator
that's a bunch of mumbo-jumbo. so because i know that you are all on the edge of your seat waiting to learn more i will share
Communication: people who are especially talented in communication generally find it easy to put thier thoughts into words. they are good conversationalists and presenters.
they also find pleasure from readings, apt to tell elaborate stories and find pleasure from entertaining. You exude energy and excitement.
Input: craving to know more. often they like to collect and archive all kinds of information.
- these people also like to expand thier vocabulary and are drawn to projects that require creativity.
Intellection: characterized by intellectual activity. They are introspective and appreciate intellectual discussions. Your goal is to comprehend everything you read.
Learner: great desire to learn and want to continuously improve. In particular, the process of learing, rather than the outcome, excites them.
Activator: make things happen by turning thoughts into action (see - recent curtain making. think i need curtains... make curtains). they are often impatient. you are eager to set directions, make decisions, and assume responsibilities. You try to get things done, but in your effort to be liked, sometimes decide to temper your demanding style.
what do you think - sound like me?
i think it does..... right down to the demanding and impatient!!
now if you ask my brothers, their list might not be so diplomatic.
1. bossy
2. acts like a mother
3. annoying
4. talks too much
5. think's she's right about everything.
i think i like the diplomatic angle better!!!
