oops i did it again......

sorry that title may be a little misleading - believe me - this post is a lot less juicy than you might think (even though i did quote brittney spears)

it's about furniture shopping.... again
it's become a hobby
(or an addiction)
but that's up for argument

anyway, if you didn't already know - Dave & I are moving. We are moving onto the home farm in just a couple of weeks. (exciting i know!!)

due to that fact - we have a little more room than we do at our current place. and by a little more room. i mean more rooms. literally.
we have 2 living rooms

but alas, we only have 1 set of living room furniture.
so what's a girl to do?

that's right.
you go furniture shopping.
and you drag your husband along.

so Friday night we head off to The Brick (seriously - they should pay me for the amount of promotion they get on this blog) and we arrive at our usually time of 25 minutes before they close.

here's the conversation (we'll call the sales lady Betty)

Betty: what are you looking for today?

Kirsten: a couch

Dave: (*sigh) and apparently one of those chair things with the funky fabric

Betty: accent chairs. every girl needs an accent chair.

Dave: (eye rolling)

Kirsten: exactly! (triumphant look at Dave)

Betty tells us that we can look around a little and she'll be back to help us.
and hence comes my favourite line of the night.......

Dave: I can't believe you actually got me to this place again! How do you do it?

yep. i did it again. dragged him to a furniture store.
he sits on the comfiest couch in the place and lets me look
i find some very nice furniture
he points out the not-so-nice prices
i find some other things i like
he reminds me they are not why we are here

and then we work together as a team and make a decision!
okay.... actually Betty tells us that next weekend is the buy a chair or loveseat and get the couch 75% off sale and that we could get a great deal if we wait until then

and since there's nothing i love better than a great deal
and nothing dave loves better than saving money
i happily inform Betty

we'll be back next weekend!
