another weekend. another weekend re-cap.
sorry if this seems redundant - but our weekends are pretty crammed full ... and i wouldn't want anyone to miss out.
so let's see.....
quintin is breaking into the acting world and had his debut performance. he was an advisor for King Darius in the Daniel in the Lion's Den story that CDCS is putting on.
he did fantastic
friday night we had a birthday party for our friend Christina Salverda. 1st campfire of the year (whoop whoop)
my husband.
was in the fields all weekend. nothing too exciting there.
saturday consisted of grocery shopping with mom. a minor meltdown by madison. and cleaning the municipal with them (haven't done that in 10 months ... not in a hurry to do it again either)
saturday was also the Murder Mystery Dinner Auction for the Alzheimer SOciety of Huron County.
the auction was great. the dinner was great.
and the entertainment.....
just picture a couple of men talking in italian accents with their shirts unbuttoned. oh, and another italian diva yelling at a variety of men - because they weren't really sure who the father was. this is then all culminated by someone dying.
hilarious.
and sunday was Mother's Day!
i hope that no one forgot and everyone spoiled thier mommy. i made sure i treated my mother(s) well.
however, apparently the Sjaarda house lacked the normal mothers-day-fesitivities without the bossy older sister ordering everyone around and putting names on a card for a present they didn't buy. lesson learned. they really do need me.
and i think that's about it.
what's up for this weekend? HAIRSPRAY. which is now being attended by the rest of the girls on my mom's side bccause it sounded like so much fun.
oh, and 1 more thing.
my 3 yr. old nephew finally likes me.
i still make him cry more than anyone else but when he came to the barn sunday he asked his dad if he could play with aunt Kirsten.
am i the best or what.
there is hope for me after all.
