i have been informed that i am 'nesting'.
maybe you don't believe in the phenomenon and honestly i wasn't completely convinced at first either.
but saturday morning i woke up with a burst of energy (and i didn't even sleep that well the night before)
on saturday: i made breakfast for the hubs, cleaned the entire 2 floors of our house (including mopping), washed the inside of all the windows on the main floor, made a flyer advertising piano lessons, fed dave & his brother lunch, made 3 dozen oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, and then..... i started ripping wallpaper off in the stairwell and upstairs hallway. ( i should admit that i had just started that project when mom called and then was over to help promptly 10 minutes later)
either way, it was a very productive day.
by the time dave came in for a snack before heading out to do chores we had the entire hallway and stairwell stripped of wallpaper and all the glue scraped off too.
dave was not at all surprised by the amount we had done (he's seen us work at re-decorating before) but he was a little confused by my energy.
for me, it was partially because i wanted it done. partially because i am worried the next 2 weeks & 6 days (which sounds better than 3 weeks) are going to DRAG BY if i don't have a project.
but my mom promptly informed him that i am "nesting".
the only problem with a nesting wife?
in his case it means that my nesting projects have also become his projects. he has already been informed that i need some more spackle and sand paper. Unfortunately for him, for his wife, nesting does not mean home-cooked meals and endless baked goods.
nope. it means tonight.... we're sanding!!
