babysitters for babysitters

this weekend we have joanne & arlin's kids for the weekend.

you may remember my frantic post about this last time they came over.

i am feeling fine about having the kids over and i actually think that it will be a really fun weekend. with a lot of "hockey table" (is it terrible that i am really hoping that we can find a new fun alternative to air hockey?.... it's fun - for like 10 minutes)

anyway, i digress. the point is, we are excited. we love our nieces & nephews.

1 small problem.

we seem to have this tendency to choose weekends that already have events we must attend.

(ie. last time when we took 2 children chair shopping in thier snow suits, because there was this sale on that i couldn`t resist and then 1 such child had to go to the bathroom in a really small bathroom, which required a lot of wrestling and sweating on my part)

anyway, i digress AGAIN.

this weekend we have a Buck & Doe for our wonderful friends Brent & Andrea who are getting married in August ( shameless plug: if you are looking for a good time - i can get you tickets.....)

and we also have the church barbeque.

so what does any good aunt & uncle do?

that`s right.

we take them with us.

we take them with us to the church barbeque

and we take them with us to the buck & doe (which i should add.... is at the bride`s farm and IS family oriented)

but because we are not parents

and we have not yet succumbed to the idea of being at home at 10:30

we are getting babysitters

and if the irony has not yet hit you yet. i will spell it out for you.
we ARE the babysitters. and we are getting babysitters.

for us. the babysitters.

yep. that`s how we do it! !
