wet weekend wrap-up

did you like all the w's?

dave and i heard the question a lot this weekend....
how was camping?


our response......

which it was.
i had planned to use my 3 camping days sitting on a beach getting a nice dark tan.
didn't happen.
i also planned to take some pictures. but i forgot my camera
so that didn't happen either.


but we still had a lot of fun camping together.... in a trailer. we were informed by a more " romantic type" that we should tent it because that's way better for cuddling.
we understand the logic behind the comment.

but it's also:
hotter
wetter
smaller
shorter
uncomfy
has no toilet
no electricity
and no table for when it's pouring rain


i know, i know. 1 year and we are already too practical for romance.


aside from the rain we did manage to have some fun:
- we went shopping on the Grand Bend strip
- went out for lunch
- bought some clothes & hats (on a really good sale by the way)
- recieved a pirated DVD for just being cute (that was obviously me). If you ever get the chance, you should watch pirated DVD. Nothing like watching a movie videotaped in a theatre. who doesn't like the shaking, the fingers, the coat thrown over for 5 minutes, and a silouette of someone walking out of the theatre. great fun. but i digress.
- played lots of games
- took in a Gr. 8 graduation on Thursday night
- went exploring


you may notice that my list of FUN things did not include the bike ride my husband dragged me on. he said it would be easy and short.
20 freakin' kilometers later i finally biked my sore but back into our campsite. it may or may not still be hurting.


we weathered the storms
and braved the winds
(ha ha - sounds kind of like marriage.....)

and managed to finish with a pretty fun weekend.
we agreed that sitting in the rain playing a rousing game of Phase 10 still beats being at work!!
