nervous jitters

i have done it before.... lots of times. it's easy - and it's right up my ally - telling people what to do!!

but usually it's only for a couple of hours, and not overnight.

and even worse - those that do this full time have 9 months to get settled - we don't!!
are we ready for this dave?

we are preparing for an explosion. an explosion... of children. of mess. of giggles. of silliness. of.... of... of.... DIAPERS.

so i am being a little melo-dramatic. tonight dave and i are babysitting.... yep. just babysitting.

2 a-d-o-r-a-b-l-e kids. my niece & nephew (yes... i can call them mine now). 2 1/2 yrs. and 14ish months.

it will actually be pretty fun!! they are hilarious kids and they are really good... i think the biggest thing i am worried about is the fact that i may be babysitting 3 children (my husband has a tendency to revert back to his child-like qualities)


but, like i discussed with my co-workers, if i mess up bad.... they're not my kids - just kidding!! (i really hope their mother isn't reading this).

anyway, i think we are all prepared.

child friendly food - check!!

santa clause parade this weekend - check!!
no christmas decorations up - check!!

spare bed - check!!
toys donated from grandma - check!!
2 adults for 2 children - check!!

i realize that all the moms are probably laughing at me. rolling thier eyes at my antics. wishing that they even had time to mentally prepare for anything now-a-days and hoping i don't loose the kids at the parade (my mom is probably cringing, wondering how i am going to survive motherhood when it comes - an extra 2 kids wasn't even noticed in our house)

in all fairness i have done this before. i am being a little overdramatic. and it should be a weekend of great fun.

nevertheless - i will report on monday
