frosting

this morning i woke up before the alarm clock. bounded out of bed, threw open the curtains – excited to see what the day had to bring.

okay – so that’s a bit of an exaggeration. in all reality i woke up to the incessant beeping of the alarm clock and dragged my sorry but out of bed and opened the blind to a dark outside… but not dark enough to hide…..

Remove Formatting from selection ….. the FROSTING……

i like frosting
- frosting on cupcakes
- frosting on cakes
- frosting on cookies

frosting on the ground is not my friend. it means snow. and in the negative celcius. it means hats and mitts and scarves (actually i like that part) and freezing cold toosies on cold hardwood floors.

i don’t like frosting but once in a while…. during those long, dark, and cold winter months there is a beautiful smattering of snow frosting the treetops and glistening so brightly that you have to squint against the sight.

at least – that is what i reminded myself over… and over…. and over again as i drove to work shivering as i waited for my heat to kick in.

i guess that all there is left to say is: hello cold, hello frost, hello november!!

** note:i know that i mentioned i would post pictures of our costumes. however, i shouldn't have been so boastful to say i would post them monday. i forgot my camera. so i am waiting on my friends pictures. however, her computer is not working. sooo.... they will be here tomorrow!! (no this is not a elaborate plot to keep you in suspense and reading my blog - but it's not my fault if it helps!!)
