update

sooo... GEMS last night.

it went surprisingly well. i asked them to fill out 10 things that they want in a future husband. i told them i KNOW that it's a long way off - but it was fun nonetheless. it was entertaining that cute/hot/good looking topped #1 or #2 on all of the lists. i am happy to report however, that 'christian' or 'believes in God' was also up there for them as well!!

overall, it was a fun evening. we looked at wedding pictures and had lots of discussions. our biggest discussion was not so much about boys but about talking about boys. how much is too much? and making sure that you are having Godly conversations.

their favourite part of the whole evening was when they got to interview me. i gave them free reign to ask me whatever variety of questions they could come up with. they varied from "first kiss", to "first hug", the proposal story, how many boyfriends i had, how many crushes i had, and my favourite "how did you know that you loved him?"

it was a great evening and we had a ton of fun. i don't want to break of my promises in which i was "sworn to secrecy" but i can say that i think the girls feel that they can trust me and were open and honest about their questions and opinions.

as much as i had a good time. i am thankful that next week is craft night. i am off the hook and it shouldn't require as much soul bearing!!
