however, life isn't always perfect and sometimes i fail at the law of "do not covet"
let me explain.
my hubby is a farmer. this is not a bad thing. actually there are many benefits to having a farmer husband. i can go to work with him. besides chores - during the day he is a little more flexible. we can live close to my family and in the country. when i am off he can come home for lunch. and eventually, when we have babies (eeek... relax mom - not happening yet) he is close by to come see them during the day and just close enough to drop them off to "go help dad" if mom needs a break.
so you see - lots of benefits!!
however, mornings are lonely. i have been getting ready in a house full of people for a long time. 1st my family of 5 siblings and then in a house of 6 girls at University. now... i get ready for work by myself - in a quite house. every day.
so sometimes i covet.
wouldn't it be nice if i had a hubby that didn't go to work so early- and as such was there to have breakfast with me, get ready together, chat about the day, etc. etc.
today - my wish came true!! we have an event at work tonight that i have to stay late for - so to shorten the hours between the end of the work day and the beginning of the event i changed my hours from 8 - 4 to 9 - 5.
and dave came back home to have breakfast with me. on a friday (ie. a workday). and i got ready while he was at home. and we chatted about the day, etc. etc.
wish granted.
